Jews in ALL Hues: Online Community Ground Rules: Jews
in ALL Hues seeks to create a safe space for dual heritage Jews to
explore the challenges and opportunities of their intersecting
identities. In order to ensure that this community fosters
respectful dialogue, we have a few ground rules we ask that you
follow.
The Jews in ALL Hues Community is for Dual Heritage Jews and
Allies.
www.jewsinallhues.org is a safe place to explore the
GIFTS and challenges of growing up with Dual (or multiple/Jewish/
Non-Jewish/interfaith/conversion) Heritages in today’s world.
Jews in ALL Hues reserves the right to add or delete content in
which the organization feels is relevant to the mission of Jews in
ALL Hues.
Blog Posts will be screened and approved by the administrators
of the website www.jewsinallhues.org as all blog posts are open to
the public.
Private posts and discussions can be submitted without prior
consent in the private “Allies,” “General Community” and “Dual
Heritage” groups that are blocked from non member access.
Members of the online community must recognize that every
experience is authentic and should be honored as such. Please
respect the experiences shared and do NOT argue them (e.g. “If you
were at my synagogue that wouldn’t have happened. “ “ I think that
you’re just pulling my leg! That really doesn’t happen in Jewish or
non-Jewish communities.” “ If you make an orthodox conversion, you
don’t have to worry about anything because you’ll be fully
Jewish.”).
Allies are encouraged to ask relevant questions in the “Allies
and General Community” group, but are not allowed to inquire about
other’s Heritage on the pages of Dual Heritage Jew in order to
uphold confidentiality and respect.
Confidentiality: If you want to share something that was shared
please don’t mention any names outside of this space. This
includes, but not limited to posting a link or status update on
other media such as Facebook or Twitter without specific permission
from the person you are quoting.
MAKE FRIENDS! We encourage you to network and connect with your
fellow community members in meaningful and positive ways along with
attending Jews in ALL Hues events in your cities.
For any general questions, please email jewsinallhues@gmail.com and one of our co-founders
will respond at the next available moment.
Violations of these rules will be brought to the user's
attention and may result in removal from the community.
Ground rules are subject to change as the community
grows.
